GoDoG was founded in the spring of 2008 by Jason Durishin. After fifteen years in the hospitality industry and pursuing his passions in music and acting, Jason sought a fulfilling and flexible path that allowed time for his creative endeavors. Initially inspired by his deep affection for his two-year-old Carlin Pinscher, Dirk, Jason researched dog walking, built a website, completed CPR and first-aid training for dogs, and began spreading the word through grassroots marketing.

In 2009, Jason expanded his canine family by rescuing and adopting Scarlett, a pitbull from Brooklyn’s ACC euthanasia list. What began as a small, solo venture quickly grew—by the end of that first summer, Jason had hired his first employee. Since then, GoDoG has flourished, building lasting relationships with hundreds of dogs and their families, enriching Jason’s life immeasurably. GoDoG’s story continues, guided by heartfelt care and genuine enthusiasm for every dog we meet.
