This guide outlines our essential policies, procedures, and terms to help everything run smoothly.

This is a living document. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

About GoDoG

Since 2008, GoDoG has been proudly caring for dogs and cats. We’re fully insured and bonded, and all of our team members are W‑2 employees (not independent contractors).

We specialize in:

Hours of Operation

📞 Office Hours:
• Mon–Fri: 10 AM – 6 PM
• Sat: 10 AM – 2 PM

🐾 Pet Care Services:
• Mon–Fri: 10 AM – 6 PM

Service & Billing Week

Monday–Sunday

Non‑emergency messages sent outside office hours will be answered the next business day.
For emergencies, please call or text 917‑449‑9969.

Outside-Normal Business Hour Visits

Evenings, Early Mornings, Weekends & Holidays

Available by request, subject to walker availability & an extra fee.

Weekend Services

Weekend services must be booked by Thursday at 6 PM.

Late requests may not be possible and will incur an $8 late booking fee.

Holiday Services

Major Holidays:

Please request service at least 5 business days in advance.
(New Year’s Day, New Year’s Eve, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving,
Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day)
Late requests incur a $10 fee and last‑minute cancellations incur a $15 fee.

Lesser Holidays:

Please provide at least 3 business days’ notice for cancellations.
If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume you still need the visit.
(MLK Day, Presidents’ Day, Columbus Day, Juneteenth, Veterans Day)
Late cancellations incur a $10 fee.

Scheduling Changes & Cancellation

Standard Cancellations:

Cancel by 6 PM the day before — no fee
Cancel after 6 PM — $5 late cancellation fee
Same‑day cancellations (after 10 AM) — full visit fee
Weekend cancellations must be in by Friday at 6 PM or the full fee applies.

Overnight Pet Sitting Cancellations:

Cancel with 3 days’ notice — no fee
Within 3 days — first night’s fee + 25% of total stay
Holiday overnights require 10 business days’ notice or 50% of the booking applies.

If a walker arrives and access is unavailable, the full rate applies.

Getting Started

Reach out via text, phone, or website.
Book an intro meeting via Calendly.
After we connect, you’ll receive an invite to onboard through Time to Pet.
Sign the waiver and schedule services.

Client Portal & Booking

Manage everything in one place — with Time to Pet!

Request services, manage appointments, update pet profiles, make payments, and receive
real‑time updates and photos.

Booking Policies

All bookings must go through Time to Pet.
Requests remain pending until confirmed.
Dog walks use a 2‑hour window (3–4 PM preferred when possible).
Puppies under 6 months use a 1‑hour window.
Cats and small pets use a 4‑hour window.

Communication in Time to Pet

There are two chat threads in Time to Pet:

Left thread: walker updates.
Right thread: private management communication.

Meeting Your Walker

One complimentary intro meeting is included.

Formal meetings requested in advance incur a $25 fee.

Safety & Equipment

Your pet’s safety is our top priority!

Flat collar with ID tag required.
Microchip required.
Standard 4‑ft leash only.
Safety backups are required and provided by GoDoG.
Missing gear may result in postponed or canceled services, billed for time.

Home Access & Key Management

Two key sets or lockbox required.
Delays over 15 minutes due to access issues may incur additional charges.

Gratuity Policy

Effective for new clients beginning March 2026.
A 5% gratuity is added by default and may be adjusted or removed at any time.
Gratuities are always appreciated, never expected.

NY State Sales Tax

All services are subject to 8.875% NY State Sales Tax.

Inclement Weather & Emergencies

Services are not automatically canceled.
We will check in via Time to Pet to confirm service viability.

Emergency Protocol & Liability

Clients authorize GoDoG to act in emergencies.
Emergency‑related costs are the client’s responsibility.

Photo & Video Release

We love sharing our pups.
Opt out in writing before services begin.

Aggressive Dogs

Referral Program

1 referral = 1 free visit.
